Engine turned sterling silver cigarette case with unusual flip-out dispensing function, made by the James E. Blake Company (1889-1936), Attleboro, Massachusetts. Signed Sterling, James E. Blake Company Logo, 1810, Patented Date August, 22, 1916.
A British cigarette case most likely designed by Winifred Green and made by the family establishment Charles S. Green & Co. , 1909.
An accurately detailed porcelain inkwell in a curling rock form with an overall transfer printed granite pattern and a detailed concave running surface. The attached nickel plated brass handle hinges back to reveal a white porcelain tapered well, unsigned.
This inkwell provides a bonus, the central ring also doubles as a match strike!
