Amphora Works Riessner, Secessionst Vase

Colorful bohemian pitcher vase made by Amphora Works Riessner, formerly Riessner Stellmacher and Kessel, Turn, Teplitz, Bohemia, Austria. It is decorated in the Secessionist style (Art Nouveau) with stylized floral designs and patterns in strong bright colors with a pink textured background.

Markings: stamped oval “Made in / AMPHORA / Czecho-Slovac”, impressed “15377 / 18”, painted “XXII.”
Size: 11” tall x 7” wide
Origin: Czechoslovakia
Date: 1930-1939
Condition: Excellent (8). On close inspection and mentioned for accuracies sake only, there is some paint loss to the green band around the base of the vase and a tiny clay tear made during manufacture, not extending to the exterior, on the inside of the spout. This vase has a very nice mould and strong colours with no chips cracks or restoration.
