SUMMARY: Wine carafe made of clear glass with silver plate mounts embossed with an appropriate frieze of youth entwined in fruiting grape vines, the lid surmounted by a rampant lion holding forth a vacant cartouche, and the leafy handle joined at the top and central supporting band with a floret. The foot is a fluid compression of the formational state of the glassy medium.
