Festive miniature original watercolour en grisaille on unused postcard stock, painted by British artist Charles James Fox (1860-1937), circa 1929. The card depicts a cheerful winter village scene: a cozy group of snow-covered English style cottages are nestled together just beyond a stone bridge that crosses a partially frozen stream. Under which is inscribed the sentiment, “WISHING YOU / A MERRY CHRISTMAS.”

Condition: Very Good Vintage Condition: some even toning of the paper resulting in a warm patina; some light staining verso, this does not penetrate to the front; soft corners commensurate with age.
