Description & Notes: Figural smoker’s companion of a Colonial man standing with one hand supported by a cane and the other on his hip. A basket for cigarettes is on his back, a hinged piece of luggage sits on the faux-cobbled ground for matches, and a hinged basket on the right opens as an ashtray allowance. Furthermore the finial of the hinged basket is hollow and functions as a go-to-bed. This lacquered-gilt cast metal figural setting is bolted to an oval black painted wooden plinth.
Dimensions: 6” Long; 4” Wide; 6 ½” High
Condition: Excellent Vintage Condition – no damage, no repair. The lacquered gilt finish is immaculate only showing the lightest signs of wear inside the basket ashtray and commensurate shelf wear to the base.
