The Brothers Dalziel founded by George Dalziel (1815-1902), Edward Dalziel (1817-1894) Margaret Dalziel (1819-1894, and Thomas Dalziel (1823-1906). Four other Dalziel brothers would join the firm. All children of artist Alexander Dalziel, they were known for illustrating the works of the leading Victorian artists including: Myles Birkett Foster, William Holman Hunt, John Everett Millais, Dante Gabriel Rossetti, James McNeill Whistler, Edward Lear, and Lewis Carroll.
