ARTIST BIOGRAPHY: Ernest Charles Walbourn (England, 1872-1927). Best known for British School Genre paintings in oil. Walbourn exhibited at the Royal Institute of Oil Painters, Royal Academy, and the Royal Society of British Artists. Married to Eva Gardner (1906) who achieved recognition for painting the backgrounds in many a Walbourn artwork and is an artist in her own right.
