SOLD – Lamp – André Dubé, Quebec Folk Carved
Folk Art, Lighting, SOLDCharming rustic Quebec folk carved moose lamp by noted carver André Dubé, circa 1930-1970s. Carefully carved out of a single piece of wood the proud moose stands alert with one leg resting on a raised area of ground, behind which a truncated tree forms the pillar for the lamp base. A socket and harp are integrated atop the trunk and hold up the lashed wood slat shade. The carving is well defined with much character: the tall narrow legs of the moose are gracefully carved; the ears dynamically positioned as if momentarily frozen to catch a sound. -
