Vintage Italian leather and brass stationary pad with refillable exterior casing executed in a Modern Arts & Crafts / Wiener Werkstätte manner, made in Italy for Henry Birks & Sons, Canada, circa Mid-20th Century. The brown leather body has a central finely stitched suede panel and four corners fitted with a border of three square brass studs. The interior is lined in a soft green fabric, possibly silk, with a folder for loose leafs on the inner left and a slot for a full notepad on the right.
