Two applied and gilt porcelain “leaf” handles flank the short neck and everted gilt rim, the foot is additionally gilt for a finishing touch. -

Porcelain, SOLDJapan, Early 19th Century Coralene & Cobalt ‘Iris’ Vase, c. 1910s Hand-Painted, Glass Beads, Cobalt 8 ¼” high x 5” diameter Notes:Large luminescent purple and pink iris constitute the central design and surround the main body. The waisted form is attractive and with the addition of the asymmetric beaded cobalt and gilt top and bottom borders surrounding additional coralene shells and florals the piece is completed with a flourish.
