    Kayserzinn – Jardeniere – Pewter, Art Nouveau

    A German pewter Jungenstil (Art Nouveau) jardeniere designed by Hugo Leven (1874-1956) and Herman Fauser (1862-1947) and made by the Rhenish firm Leuconide Metalware Factory and Trading Company J.P. Kayser & Sohn AG (1862-1925), Krefeld-Bochum, circa 1902-1904. The waisted, open, boat shaped bowl of sinuous freeform is embossed with trailing tendrils and fruit and has integral handles on either end that join the bottom to the lip edge. The bottom is embossed at one end with the company logo consisting of an oval around ‘KAYSERZINN / 4461’, also impressed upside down above the oval is the number “28”. Scroll Down for further details
