Silver Crest was a line produced by the Smith Metal Arts Co.. Smith Metal Arts was founded in 1919 under the direction of Fred Smith, a previous Heintz Art Metal Shop sales manager, using the Silver Crest trademark, after the sudden death of Otto Heintz in 1918.
