Quarto, Vol. 1= 384 pp, Vol 2. = 372 pp. Dark green leather bindings; red leather titles and impressed with gilt titles and raised bands on spine, marbled end-papers and edges.

The story from the famed Vanity Fair author recounts, with insight and some satire, the adventures of Arthur Pendennis, a young English gent Arthur Pendennis born in the Country who sets out to London to seek a place in life and society.

DIMENSIONS: Octavo (8 3/4” x 5 1/2”)

CONDITION: Antique, Very Good Condition. For Accuracy Only: Minor scuffing to leather; Spines Strong ; Both copies clean with normal even age related toning and minimal image transfer. Bookplate neatly placed on marbled end-papers. A good tight set.
