Brass Finish, Hand-Hammered
11 ¼” long

Description: A fine Roycroft letter opener with a long and tapered blade with pointed tip, the handle is arched and terminates in a triple split scroll finial.

Markings: stamped Roycroft orb logo, circa 1920-1928

Dimensions: 11 ¼” long

Condition: Antique, Good Condition – Ready for Use / Display
For Accuracy Only: the patina is original but has suffered from natural wear from years of use. The once brass finish is rubbed in places back to the hammered copper.

Artist/Maker Biography: Roycroft (est. 1895), East Aurora, New York. A reformist community of craft workers and artists they formed part of the American Arts and Crafts movement. Founded by Elbert Green Hubbard (1856-1915), a writer, artist, philosopher and publicist they strove for the highest quality artisan objects.
