Notes: Royal Worcester Aesthetic style ‘Blush Ivory’ vase is decorated with “asymmetric and scattered” hand-enamelled art sprays of aquatic fern embellished throughout the design and form with 22 carat gold. This shape, no. 1327, features dolphin buttressed neck and masks, registration number 114303, circa 1890.
Made of a parian porcelain body the decorating process was elaborate involving a total of five firings to build up the glazes and decoration to a finished state. The interior is glazed with a matt ivory, the exterior with a matt butter then further blushed with a matt apricot glaze before being painted with the flowers then gilt and burnished.

Condition: Very Good
For Accuracy: a vintage vase it may show expected light signs of age and use related wear – the decoration, blush and gilt are superb.
