Pair of Wedgwood light blue jasper dip trumpet form vases, 5” h. X 3 ½” d., decorated with applied white bas-relief Neo-Classical decoration, appropriately signed, impressed Wedgwood, dated c. 1864.
The Greek muses, Clio, muse of history, Polyphymnia, muse of sacred song, Thalia, muse of comedy and bucolic poetry, and Urania muse of astronomy, are presented individually and evenly spaced around the central body.
Markings: impressed, “WEDGWOOD D WUS”; inscribed “1053”
