Salt Cellars – WH Haseler Ltd – Sterling, Navette Form
Description & Notes: An elegant pair of Edwardian sterling silver salt cellars, made in London, England, by W. H. Haseler Ltd. in 1905. The Haseler brothers firm is noted for their partnership with Liberty & Co. from 1898-1912 where they offered their high end wares and provided the manufacture of the Liberty Cymric range of silverware. The navette form bowls have a reeded border, reeded twin strap handles and stand on a rectangular pedestal base.

Marks & Dating: impressed on upper side, under border, “EJH/NH” Haseler makers mark Cartouche; sterling silver lion purity mark; leopard London hallmark; k date code for 1905.
Weight: 97.6 grams and 98.0 grams (195.6 grams total)
Dimensions: ln. 5 3/8”; wd. 2”; ht. 3 3/8”
Condition: A period piece, they are offered in fine original condition, no damage, no repair. Both maker’s hallmarks are lightly rubbed, all are legible. The patina is soft and rich and the forms notable.
