How To Series, Book 1’, was Karsh’s sitting #12718, being officially photographed on January 20, 1967. The portrait was commissioned by the Board of Education to honour his retirement in 1966. “The Board, in so doing, also pays tribute to [his] dedicated and untiring service and leadership to them and to the educational progress and growth of [St. Catharines].
