Nicely made vintage cane / walking stick, circa 1900, with crook handle entirely covered in rattle snake skin except for 2 ⅛ inches near the bottom which is painted black.
The skin is un-split and pulled tightly over the slightly tapering shaft onto the crook handle and tightly encloses the end of the crook handle.
It measures 26 ¼ inches long and the shaft tappers between 1 inch and ¾ inches in diameter while the handle is 1 ¼ inches across near the crook end.
It is in Excellent vintage condition. The skin has only one small pull and is otherwise undamaged. When this type of stick got wet the skin would split and there are few in this condition.
