Description: French footed bowl designed by Marc Lalique in 1975 for Lalique and retired shortly afterwards. Following the Art Nouveau come Art Deco influences of Lalique the rounded conical bowl in clear crystal is raised a full inch off the ground by four flanking sea-green and opaline nude nymphs, two either side and crouching with unbound hair. The coloured nudes are added to the crystal body using the double injection technique which provides a strong coloured support allowing for the illusion of weightlessness (in reality it a substantial ~4.4 kg with ½” walls and up to 2” thick at the hips).
Markings: signed ‘Lalique ® France’; original ‘MADE IN FRANCE’ sticker on base
Condition: Vintage, Excellent
For Accuracy: a vintage vase it may show expected light signs of age and use related wear. The mold is crisp with well delineated figures in relief and the body is clean and ready for display.
