Murano, Italian glass ‘Tessuto’ bowl, 7 1/8″ diameter x 1 3/4″ high, attributed to Carlo Scarpa for Venini & Co., c. 1945-50s. The technique used to make this bowl is called ‘Tessuto’  and involves the fusion of alternating turquoise and white canes of glass that radiate from the centre outwards, cased in a delicate outer layer of clear glass. It is signed with the appropriate acid etched signature to base, ‘Venini / Murano / ITALIA’.

Condition: It is in Pristine Vintage Condition. This is an early example with the 3 line acid-etched signature and not a Venini from the 1980s which are signed with the contemporary diamond-point engraved with date. It is clean and Ready for Display
