Summary: A brilliantly coloured Mid-Century compote (raised bowl) of ribbed form with bullicante and gold aventurine highlights, hand-blown and tooled of transparent glass with soft gradient and hues of pink, amethyst, and pink. The ample and rounded bowl is raised on an applied clear knop with gold aventurine above a matching slightly raised ribbed bullicante mauve pad foot. Made in Murano, Venice, Italy it is attributed to Alfredo Barbini, c. 1950s.
