Description: A fine vintage Caithness (Scotland, 1961-Present) studio glass paperweight with five millefiori circlets surround a central mint green ring sunk in cobalt glass.
Markings: partial paper label on flat star cut base, “…PAPER…” / “C”
Dimensions: 1 ¾” high x 2 ⅜” diameter
Condition: Excellent Condition – Ready for Display.
Artist/Maker Biography: Caithness (Scotland, 1961-Present) Currently located in Crieff, Caithness was founded by Robin Sinclair before being purchased by Paul Ysart who incorporated the studio glass paperweight tradition. This was expanded by Colin Terris in 1968 where they were recognized with a Royal Warrant as a supplier of glass to the Queen Mother. Other glass artists have included Helen Macdonald, Allan Scott, Scott Sinclair, Martin Murray, Fraser Munro, Calum McDougall and Gemma Leamy. It is currently owned by Dartington Crystal.
