American Arts & Crafts book rack, table-top form with hinged domed ends and an adjustable conforming base, unsigned, c. 1900. The arched ends are intaglio carved with an identical resting male lion, while the bottom edge of one side is burned/carved “OLD FRIENDS TO TRUST” and the opposing side is carved “OLD FRIENDS TO READ”.
