Description: A fine art glass ‘Scrambled Millefiori’ paperweight by Galliano Ferro (Murano, Est. 1955) featuring tight and complex murrines made of bright colours sunk within a clear orb body.
Markings: Remnants of the original foil label on the flat cut and polished base

Artist/Maker Biography: Galliano Ferro (Murano, 1955-Present) was co-founder of Arte Vetraria Muranese (AVeM) in 1932 and established an independent studio in 1955 aiming to utilize traditional methods to create modern forms. Designers at Ferro have included son Giorgio Ferro, Ezio Rizzetto, Fulvio Bianconi and Vinicio Vianello. In 1972 the studio switched focus to lighting producing luxury chandeliers, they are still in business and still run by the Ferro family.
