Summary: A striking American Art Deco Bakelite “Philadelphia” brooch / bar pin made circa 1930s. Four quarter inch wide strips of coloured Bakelite (top to bottom: green, red, yellow, brown) of two different lengths are fused on top of each other; the top and bottom 5/8” shorter than the middle bars. For fastening, the back incorporates an embedded long pin on a hinged end that clips in place with a c-clasp.
