Neo-Classical brooch with an applique muse leaning on a tree
sage green jasper, white jasper applique, silver mounts
3/4″ high x 3/8″ wide

Notes: Wedgwood sage green jasper brooch of rectangular form with canted corners, decorated with applied white jasper bas relief of a muse standing next to a tree set into a silver frame, appropriately marked, c. 1875.

Markings: impressed back, “WEDGWOOD D”; impressed back of frame, ‘SILVER’, ‘PGS’

Dimensions: 2cm h. x 1cm w.

Condition: Antique, Very Good
For Accuracy: an antique/vintage item it may show light signs of wear commensurate with age. The clasp is in working order and holds secure.
