Notes: An American made Art Deco double dress clip or duette, of waisted navette shape, 2 7/8 inches wide x 1 inch high, circa 1930s. Mounted on a rhodium plated platinum colored frame are two near triangular identical dress clips that slide within a holder towards each other. Each near triangular clip has 56 clear rhinestones (1 large marquise, 6 baguettes {4 small + 2 larger} and 49 round graduated stones of various sizes). The total amount of stones for both clips is 112. Each individual dress clip attaches to clothing by means of a hinged flat metal clip having 3 small prongs on the underside. The clips can be worn separately or together on the slide to form a brooch. The center of the back of the frame is impressed “PAT. / PEND.”
