Description: A fine Edwardian kilt pin of dirk form, made by William Henry Leather, Chester, 1912. It is made with 9K yellow gold, a yellow and orange cairngorm citrine, carnelian and quartz.
Markings: impressed on the back with the makers hallmarks / touchmarks as follows: 1 – “W·H·L” – makers hallmark – William Henry Leather / 2 – a shield bearing the arms of the City of Chester (assayers mark) / 3 – “9” – denotes 9K / 4 – “.375” – denotes 9K / 5 – “M” – date letter for 1912 (“M”).
Dimensions: 2 ¾” long
Condition: For Accuracy: an antique it may show expected light signs of age. There are two light chips on of the green stones and the clasp closes loosely. The presentation and choice of stones are very nice.
