A unique and substantial Scandinavian Modern sterling watch with boldly textured “lunar” surface designed by renowned designer and jeweler artist Matti J. Hyvärinen for his company Sirokoru Ky in Turku, Finland, 1976, fully marked. The form is comprised of five linked sections measuring 1 ¼” wide x ~1 3/8” long totally 7 ¼” long, with locking clasp, 1 ¼” wide and weighing 90.9 grams (2.9 troy ounces). The minimalist watch, ¾” square, is mounted in the center of the middle link and contrasts expertly with the surrounding cast cratered surface.
