Summary: Early vintage glass barrel, in aquamarine, with original metal and wood handle, made by Owens-Illinois Glass Co, East Buffalo, for Last Buffalo Products Co. The body is embossed with vertical panels and horizontal bars to create a trompe l’oeil barrel effect.
Dimensions: 19 ½” high x ~10” diameter waist x 5” diameter mouth
Markings: logo embossed on side, “EAST BUFFALO / PRODUCTS CORP. / TRADE MARK / [YOUNG BUFFALO]; base embossed with company logo:, “I” in diamond / “983” / “1931”
Condition: Vintage, Very Good Condition. For Accuracy Only: there is a small flake at the mouth, else no damage with small (⅜” x ⅜”), signs of general use and wear to the body and foot are commensurate with age. Three easily removed felt risers have been placed on the base; these are made of cushioned felt and offer protection to the barrel and sitting surface.
