An expertly hand carved and painted Nut Cracker in the form of a fox head with inset glass eyes, made in Champex, Switzerland. It is finely detailed with quality carving typical of Black Forest woodwork from this region.
The word “CHAMPEX” is carved in capital letters on the back handle, left side, indicating it was a souvenir from Champex, a summer resort in the Swiss Alps.
