Outstanding hanging pendant light with lobed & cased opalescent glass body, enclosed by 6 vertical stripes held together by a substantial top & bottom ring embossed with scrolls and shells, attributed to Seguso, Murano, possibly Barovier, circa 1940s-60s.
This is an early example of fine quality, and not one of the recent light weight productions. The glass of the top section is crimped, and each piece, three in all, are carefully fit into the heavy structure, and held together by heavy screws.
It has an electric fitting that holds three bulbs.
