‘Cosmos’ Miniature Oil Lamp
Milk Glass, Clear Glass Chimney,
9” high (w chimney) / 7 ¼” (top of shade) x 4 ½” diameter (shade) / 3 7/8” diameter (base)
A fine ‘Cosmos’ pattern miniature oil lamp, made of milk glass with blue pink and yellow flowers on a textured ground with pink trim, by Consolidated Glass Co (United States, 1893-1963), kerosene period.
Markings: embossed concentrically on key, “P & A MFG CO”
Condition: Very Good
For Accuracy: an antique it may show expected light signs of age and use related wear. The shade is flat cut and shows normal roughness top and bottom, as made. It includes the original burner (with a wick), chimney and shade. The colour is very good with minimal rubbing and a finesse to the flowers not always seen. A nice attractive example.
