Description: A fine Canadian Historic painting of a small group of five Indians resting around a campfire in early autumn, by scarce artist Abraham Frederick Beevor ( 1846-1911) RCA, dated 1887.

Artist/Maker Biography: BEEVOR, Abraham Frederick (1846-1911) was born in Montreal 3 August 1846, the eldest son of John Beever, of Newark-upon-Trent, M.D. as descent from Sir Thomas Beever, Norfolk, by John Beever, Newark-upon-Trent, M.D., and Isabel (Norton) Beever d. of James Norton, Esq by Eliza (Erskine) Erskine. Worked as a draughtsman and civil engineer for the Grand Trunk Railway, Montreal.
