Notes: A fine Art Nouveau portrait painting of a stylish young Parisienne woman with poppies in her hair, by listed artist Émile Eisman-Semenowsky (c. 1853-1918).
Markings: signed upper right, “Eisman-Semenowsky / Paris”; the panel verso is stenciled in black with a very large logo consisting of an artist’s palette with the name of the retailer bordering the inner top edge in very large letters while his wears are listed within the interior in smaller letters (not all of them discernible). Also above the logo written in black is: “w 446L 79” / St Martin & Frere / Toiles Couleurs”
Condition: Very Good Condition
For Accuracy Only: There is a rather even layer of smoke to the surface, else Excellent.
