Description: A fine marine watercolour painted on paper, unsigned, c. 1875. Depicted is a large vessel with approaching steam-tug and smaller sailboats within a harbour, a lighthouse can be seen at the end of a pier.
Notes: It is likely a British or Canadian scene as the main vessel flies both the British Red Ensign, used by military and civilian ships, as well as the nautical Victor signal flag, denoting it is not in distress but requires assistance.

Dimensions (actual): 7 1/8” high x 14 5/8” wide
Dimensions (framed): 11” high x 19 1/8” wide

Condition: Excellent Condition
For Accuracy Only: At some point in its distant past the painting has been folded in half leaving a central crease. There is some wear verso, either side the crease and in the four corners as if it had been previous mounted and later removed. The colours are bright and the integrity of the artwork intact.
