Summary: William A. Hill (American, 1886-1969) original oil painting titled verso, “Sailing Ship, Summer 1943.” The artwork depicts a large vessel under full sail in the ocean notably presented in a carved gilt frame. Hill painting in and around Newbury, New England and was a member of the BAC and NAA.

Markings: signed lower right, “W. Hill.”; inscribed in pencil upper right verso, “54” / “Sailing Ship”; inscribed in pencil verso upper left verso, “1943” / “Summer”

Condition: Excellent Condition.
For Accuracy Only: there are the lightest signs of wear to the extremities of the frame. This is negligible and it displays beautifully.
