Artist Biography: Greason, William (American, 1884-1945) Artist. Born in St. Mary’s, Ontario, Canada. EDUCATION: Miss R. A. Morphy’s Studio, St. Mary’s; Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts (under Thomas Anshutz, Hugh Breckenridge); Darby School, Washington, DC; Academy Julian, Paris (under Bashet and Laurens). CAREER: Exhibited Detroit Institute of Arts; Established the William Greason School of Fine Art, Douglas, Michigan (1931). ORGANIZATIONS: Member of the Scarab Club (1st Gold Metal Award), Detroit; Salmagundi Club, NY.
