Notes: Decorated with a gilt and underglaze blue floral pattern with gilt trim, this tea cup and saucer, with matching second cup, is an example of Dr. Wall period Worcester. Called “the guiding intellect of Worcester” Dr. John Wall, Oxford, was an artist and practical chemist who sought to utilize modern techniques and innovations to their best advantage.

Markings: marked on base with blue underglaze Dr. Wall Crescent Moon and surrounding impressed circle(s)

Condition: Very Good
For Accuracy: there is extremely light and occasional rubbing to the gilt as is expected – no chips or cracks it displays beautifully.
