Description

Ludwigsburg Porcelain Manufactory (Germany, Est. 1758)
[Ludwigsburger Porzellan-Fabrik (Baden-Wuerttemberg, c. 1758-1805)]
Pair of Seau à Demi-Bouteille, c. 1759-1793
hand-painted porcelain
4 ¼” high x 4 ½” diameter x 6” wide (at handle)

Notes: A rare matching pair of Ludwigsburger Porzellan-Fabrik seau à demi-bouteille (half-bottle coolers) with fine hand-painted floral decoration and intricate handles.

Markings: cobalt double c mark on base c. 1759-1793

Condition: Antiques, they may show expected light signs of age and use related wear. One is in Excellent condition and the second has a repaired handle, rubbing to the enamel of one flower and a miniscule fleabite at the rim (see pictures) otherwise it shows the same astute attention to form, detailing, and accuracy in the presentation of the floral bouquets.
