Mintons (England, 1793-2005)
Mortlock’s of Oxford St, London
Queen Victoria Diamond Jubilee Commemorative Beaker
3 7/8″ high x 3 1/2″ diameter

Notes: Rare Queen Victoria 1897 Diamond Jubilee beaker featuring a trifecta queen and notable military and social accomplishments during her reign, made by Mintons for Mortlock’s of Oxford St., London, appropriately marked with the Mintons and Mortlock’s references. The front features three portraits of the Queen, each within an oval and arranged triangularly: as she appeared in 1837, then 1887, and finally 1897. They are flanked by flags and surmounted by a crown. Made by Minton’s for the prestigious Oxford Street store Mortlock’s. The design is unique and because it was a special commission produced exclusively for this very famous London store, it was made in limited numbers, making it very scarce and most desirable.
