Description: A fine French ormolu-mounted Sevres style raised centrepiece bowl, late 19th Century. The bowl features a central garden genre scene of two lovers, after Fragonard, surrounded by a gilt foliate wreath and turquoise ground. It is raised in the air by a tripartite c-scroll bronze frame with a pierced rocaille-cast foot. The central porcelain plaque is further decorated with a floral bouquet within a matching turquoise border.
Markings: signed on base of bowl with spurious Sevres Ls mark
