Description & Notes: A fine Amphora “ivory porcelain” pottery figural planter made in Czecho-Slovakia post 1918. The delightful scene features two ruined columns draped in grape vines, a young woman glancing upwards at a parrot held by a young boy who sits comfortably on the top edge of the tallest column. All parts are finely detailed and burnished in gilt.
Markings: Circular AMPHORA Made in Czecho-Slovakia black/green backstamp; impressed 30143; hand inscribed 2047/2

Condition: Antique, Very Good
For Accuracy: insignificant wear, as expected on any antique planter. The colours and gilding are bright, form crisp and delineated, painting fine. See Photographs.
