Description: A large round ‘Old Dutch’ 833 silver box made by Hollandia Zilversmederij (BW van Eldik) Zutphen, featuring an embossed tavern scene on the lid in the manner of Jan Steen, and raised with a sidewall with embossed scrolling foliates on a stippled ground. The tavern is full of action with revelry, cards, drinking, smoking, a man playing the flute, a dog, a large fireplace, a worker on a ladder, and plenty of other tavern interior detailing.

Condition: Antique, Very Good
For Accuracy: light shelf wear as expected on any antique silver. The gauge is decent and the silver warm. There is a light dent to the lid at the extremity on the right side, else very fine. Overall a very good piece of old dutch silver. See photographs.
