A superb heavy pair of American sterling silver rectangular dishes, 4 ⅜ inches long x 3 ⅜ inches wide x ⅞ inches high, made by Black, Starr & Frost-Gorham (1929-1940), corner of 5th Avenue & 48 St., New York, NY. Each plain rectangular dish has rounded corners and a turned lip with gadrooned edge.
On the bottom of each dish along the top edge impressed within a circle is the letter “R” below which is “BLACK, STARR & FROST-GORHAM” Along the bottom edge is impressed:
“STERLING 3932 G” The dishes weight 112.6 + 112.4 = 3.6+ troy ounces @ / 225.1 grams = 7.2+ total.
