Set of six sterling silver teaspoons, 5 ¼ inches long, “Lancaster Rose” pattern made by P.W. Ellis & Co. (1852/1928), Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The shaped stem has a prominent beaded edge and embossed rose design on the terminal front and back. Made circa 1880s.
Hallmarked on back of stem: 1 – lion passant facing right 2 – anchor 3 – leaf with impressed letter “E” 4 – “STERLING”
15.4 + 18.5 + 16.9 + 17.3 + 17.2 + 14.9 = 100.2 grams ÷ 31.104 = 3.22+ troy ounces (each spoon weights approximately ½ troy ounces)
