Victorian sterling silver salt spoon with large circular shell shaped bowl ¾ inch diameter and bright cut design on the Old English pattern stem incorporating a vacant shield shaped cartouche on the terminal. It measures 2 ¾ inches long and weights 4.4 grams.
It is impressed on the back of the terminal” with the following 5 hallmarks: “H&T” maker’s hallmark – Queen Victoria’s head facing dexter – denotes Duty paid Lion passant – denotes sterling silver Anchor – Birmingham town mark / “U” capital U in circle – date code for 1869
CONDITION: Excellent vintage condition. All hallmarks clear except for the maker’s mark which is partially rubbed but still legible.
