Summary: Antique Mappin & Webb Prince’s Plate meat cover dome, having an ornate oval body, a central vacant asymmetrical cartouche either-side, surrounded by large swirl-fluting, this is separated by a stippled ground, the top with a scrolling foliate and beaded band, and cast ring finial, and the lower portion with a smooth stepped border rising into a scalloped converging-fluted band.
Markings: impressed inside lid, “TRIPLE DEPOSIT / MAPPIN & WEBBS / PRINCE’S PLATE / LONDON & SHEFFIELD”, “14 IN”
Condition: Antique, Excellent Condition. For Accuracy Only: may show minimal signs of use and wear commensurate with age. A fine rich patina.
