Description: A vintage Canadian gilt sterling silver punch bowl featuring lions head mask handles with rings raised on a squared and stepped octagonal foot, by Henry Birks & Sons, c. 1938.
Markings: impressed on base, ‘BIRKS’ / ‘STERLING’ // ‘Canadian National mark’ / ‘Lion passant’ / ‘1938 C’ / ‘81/14’
Condition: Antique, Very Good
For Accuracy: insignificant wear; script monogram on front ‘DGW’. The heavy gilt shows some light wear to one spot on the side and there is some light scratching primarily in the interior. The underside has been left unpolished with only a light polish to the exterior; it is being offered as is to suit the buyers polishing preference. See photographs.
